Tell City Governments To Widen Streets Or We'll Find Someone Who Will

Time. Who has enough time to do all of the things they want to do? Where does the time go? Does is disappear while we are stuck in traffic? Most definitely! How can that be changed? Many people use that time to talk on the phone while stopped or driving. That’s probably not the safest answer.
The best answer to reducing commuting time is what? Yes, widening the streets. Who is the mayor in your town? Who is the city manager? Who are the city councilors? Do they have plans to widen the streets adequately soon? We can call them or attend their monthly meetings. If they don’t have widening plans, get rid of them. Find out who is running for their positions and see if they have plans to widen the streets soon. Then, let people know of their plans, donate to their campaigns if you can and definitely vote for them. Anyone who drives around Tulsa from 7:30 – 9 a.m. or 4 – 6:30 p.m. knows that traffic creeps along. Why? This can be quickly fixed if the councils would quit spending so much money on museums, parks and other attractions for 2 or 3 years. We have plenty of those. We need the means to safely and more quickly get to them. (Not to mention the need for emergency vehicles to get to crises more quickly.)
Memorial in Tulsa from Admiral to 96th Street South is only 4 lanes wide. Why? It’s one of the city’s most heavily traveled roads. Sheridan was recently RE-PAVED from 81st to 91st Streets South. What a joke! It’s not even 4 lanes! Kenosha (71st) was recently re-paved from Garnett east to Aspen in Broken Arrow. It’s only 5 lanes. Mingo is being widened from 2 to 5 lanes between 71st and 81st right now. Should it be 7? How will it be in 5 more years? Probably too narrow.
The Tulsa Metro has nearly a half million people living here. Why are so many heavily-driven main streets just 2 or 3 lanes wide? It’s ridiculous! Our commutes could be cut by 1/3 to ½ if the local governments did their part. Let’s help them do their part by putting the right people in the right positions to do so.

Many things have changed in the last several months. Some people have been removed from power & arrested but they don't seem to be the ones that were being talked about for so long. Some churches are showing signs of revivals & 2 years ago there were HUGE revivals across dozens of college & high school campuses.
Many talked-about things are moving slowly on the surface. Assuredly they are moving more quickly where we can't see.
Now is not the time to take our foot off of the gas. As things are moving on other levels, we still have tasks in front of us. Keep exposing the RINO's, keep making plans to vote in the right people & volunteer to put Conservatives in the positions where they are needed, in precincts, towns, counties as well as the state & national levels.
