I was going to wait until January to bring up problems with traffic in the Tulsa Metro but this can't wait. Many businesses in northeast Oklahoma are suffering due to poor coordination, s-l-o-w w-o-r-k-e-r-s and mismanagement of construction procedures! Some of the businesses may have to close down permanently if paths to their doors are not re-opened, especially in the City of Tulsa, such as those in the link for a project at Pine and Mingo. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCYJ_zZbijs Why is 91st Street not opened between Memorial and Mingo? All of the 5 lanes and sidewalks have been poured for weeks. It's still restricted to 2 lanes. Southbound Mingo leading up to 91st now has the right-turn lane closed. There's no reason for that. (Why are there ANY 2 lane major streets in the Tulsa Metro anyway? Stay tuned for another blog on that.) Why is 81st Street in Broken Arrow between 129th East Ave and 145th East Ave not having new asphalt poured on the west end while crews are finishing curbs a mile away on the east end? All of the new curbs and sidewalks are finished. Why is 101st and Garnett still completely closed for the 4th month now? What uneducated, uncaring idiot closes an entire intersection, forcing people to drive an extra 4 miles to get to a destination? This closure also forces more traffic onto 2-laned Mingo, 129th East Avenue, 111th Street and 91st Street for an estimated 6 months. There was another news story recently about a deserted road construction site on Elm between 111th and 121st Streets. Not until someone called a t.v. station did crews show back up to work. Some people need to be fired! If others are in collusion with road construction companies to only widen streets 2 lanes at a time then go back 10 years later to widen them again to take kickback payments, they belong in jail! Who can we contact to start auditing the Metro city governments as well as Tulsa County? Maybe some councilors need to be audited by the IRS as well. They are hired to care for the citizens and make our community better. Once they get their votes and power, many of them seem to not care about even our basic needs.

This late September 2026 interview with Energy Secretary Chris Wright provides some relief. Many things are being done across several fronts to bring more energy to America. From oil to natural gas to coal & nuclear. The national grid is being strengthened & energy resources are being collected moreso than ever before. This is great news for America! Former 2026 Oklahoma Gubernatorial Candidate Jake Merrick has endorsed Mike Mazzei for Governor. I saw these 2 in a debate last October. Their platforms were very similar, except that Jake wasn't taking any PAC money & seemed have a bit more energy than Mike. The lack of PAC money limited Jake's advertising so he lost the primary to Mike. Jake's endorsement says that he sees Mike as someone who has his head on his shoulders and deserves to take the reins from Governor Stitt. Please, don't skip this runoff election! Drummond is a RINO in the extreme and needs to be kept out of power.
