I intend to use this blog page as a conduit of Good News on the Christian front from time to time. There are some pastors and other Christian figures on the airwaves who only talk about the bad things happening to Christians and Christian symbols. My spiritual gift is being a Barnabas (an encourager). I believe that we need to hear the good things going on for Jesus.
I'll start with the most obvious and timely piece of good news: it is Jesus' birthday on the 25th! Give thanks to God that he sent his Son to earth and sacrificed him so we could directly approach Him for forgiveness. This is something He didn't even have Abraham do. None of us are perfect so we need His help to stay out of the lake of fire for all eternity.
Please take time to enjoy this birthday celebration each year. Enjoy the company of loved ones, go to a Christmas Eve church service and try to do something good for someone. Merry Christmas!
Luke 2:4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed Him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
In spite of all that is going on in the world, let us not forget the major events that led us here. D-Day was fought by thousands of brave men. They were prayed over by millions at home. This is a little bit of what it was like:

This is a great day to thank a Veteran or Active Duty Member for their service. If not for them, we would not have the freedoms that we enjoy. (Methinks even more freedoms are coming that we didn't know we lacked.)
Thank you if you are serving in the military now or served in the past. Matthew 5:9 states "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God."

Jesus did not just die for our sins, He also suffered to restore our health. Eternal life with Him and full health are very much worth thanking Him for. Happy Resurrection Sunday!

I missed posting this on March 16th. However, EVERY day should be a day that we should tell others & carry out the Great Commission. We shouldn't just do so on 3 days a year.
